MAKING YOUR PIERCING & TATTOO EXPERIENCE MORE COMFORTABLE

1: Get plenty of rest the night before.

2: Shower before coming to the studio. This will minimize the chance of infection later.

3: Eat a good meal (not gorge) and drink plenty of
fluids before getting body art.

4: Do not consume alcohol, large amounts of caffeinated beverages, or
blood-thinning medications within 12 hours prior to or 24 hours after
getting body art (or 24 hours after the body art stops bleeding). If you must
take blood-thinning medication discuss this with your artist and your
doctor prior to your appointment.

5: Wear clean clothes.  For tattoos, wear older clean clothes in case we spill a bit of ink on you.
Depending on the location of your body art, do not wear restrictive clothing.

6: If you are getting facial body art, do not wear makeup around the site.
If you are getting an ear piercing, wear your hair away
from your ear.

7: In the case of genital area body arts, enter into a major deforestation project if need be (shave).

8: Bring a friend (s) (most important).  They are great hand holders.
