In the early 90's, we were invited to join the BBB. The letter said they knew we had been a member of the Nebraska business community for many years. It said we had zero recognized complaints going way back.
I mailed them off a check and the check was returned some days later saying: "Your web site is too wild for our other members and we are afraid you would not compliment the standards we have strived to maintain." or something like that.
I called them and asked them what gives? I was told after they looked over our web site, we showed too much skin for them to recommend to the public and other members, and they had changed their minds about offering us a membership. (he said he loved the site by the way)
They said if we limited the body art we show on the site, they would let us in.
I told them we would find another place to invest the money & thanked them for their time. Here is where I invested the money, in the other BBB!
Bike rallies are much more fun than associations that limit artistic expression. Thank you BBB for saving G2R hundreds of dollars a year by locking that door. We appreciate the work you do, keep it up!
